Cederberg Rooibos
Rooibos only grows in the nourishing sandstone soil at 900-1000m high in the Cederberg mountains outside of Cape Town. With every sip, you connect to the heart of South Africa's breathtaking mountains. To ensure the sustainability of the land, this Rooibos is carefully hand-harvested once a year for five years, and then left to fallow for 3-5 years before the next harvest, allowing the soil to replenish its nutrients naturally.
The result is a tea that embodies the essence of its environment. The indulgent taste of Rooibos boasts a rich profile with enchanting undertones of flowers, smoked wood, caramel, and a hint of honey. The flavor profile is quite unique and reflects the authenticity of its origins.
Rooibos, also known as "Red Bush" tea, is celebrated not only for its delectable taste but also for its potential health benefits. Rich in antioxidants, minerals, and polyphenols, this herbal elixir is believed to support immune health, aid in digestion, and promote relaxation.
As a caffeine-free infusion, our Rooibos is a great choice for those seeking a calming beverage. To unlock its full potential, we recommend steeping at boiling for about a minute, allowing the flavors to infuse and create a satisfying cup of tea.
Provided in a reusable 16 oz. tin that holds about 120g of rooibos.
The art of tea is the art of listening.
